Christmas

I can't believe that I am getting ready for Christmas...it seems like I just put away the Christmas decorations from last year!

Next weekend we will be celebrating Christmas with Martin's family up at the lake house. This will be the first year for us to do it up in Canyon Lake. We normally do it in Houston at Martin's grandmother's, but unfortunately we will not be able to continue that tradition since his grandparent's had to move in a assistant living facility up in New Braunfels.

Then the following week will be Christmas and that will be a crazy week for us because I am having surgery on the 23rd, so needless to say I will be pretty out of it for Christmas. It makes me kind of sad because I always enjoy going to the children's mass with the kiddos, so this will be the first year I won't be able to but my mom will have to carry on the tradition for me. Then we do finger snacks( I kind of stole this idea from my good friend Kristin..thanks for the tradition, sweetie) and watch Christmas movies. We always have such a good time. This is my favorite time of Christmas because we are all together.

I have always taught my kiddos to cherish your family because they are all precious gifts.
